Scores and Post Game Reports
After a sluggish start, the Kentucky Wildcats found themselves down at halftime by 20 points. Patrick Patterson was held to only four points in the first half, but he did have 7 rebounds. Credit Patterson though, he was trying to get the ball and working really hard in the paint, but I guess his teammates decided to throw up forced three pointers all first half.
The second half was a very different story. After being down by 20 at halftime, the cats came alive around the twelve minute in the second half. The lead was cut to four due to Patterson coming alive and ending up with a monster game (19 Pts, 16 Reb, 4 Ast). DeAndre Liggins also put forth a great effort in the second half (19 Pts, 9 Reb, 4 Ast), even though he did jack up a forced three in which he missed close to the end of the game. Sure, if he would have hit it, he would have been a hero and the Big Blue Nation would have went crazy, but he didn’t! Miami was missing free throws like crazy in the second half, but did start hitting them when they mattered in the last minute of the game.
Jack McClinton was the leading scorer for Miami with 23 Pts and James Dews poured in 18 Pts. The final box score was 73-67 in favor of the Miami (FL) Hurricanes.
My Final Thoughts on the Game:
Kentucky needs to stop being stagnant in the first half as they always seems to get off to a slow start and have to come clawing back in the second half. The Wildcat Freshman are true Freshman and they seem to show it in all the games played so far against decent opponents.
The Kentucky Wildcats now have 5 wins and 3 losses, what do you think the rest of the season has in store for our Wildcat team?
